This house features pocket doors, an octagonal "conservatory" room with beveled ceiling, a period chandelier and mantel, five stained-glass windows and many fine details. Perhaps, though, it would be best to let the owner speak for himself.
"Six years ago, when I bought the house, I began to make the place my own by painting the first-floor rooms in jewel tones. Then I got an idea: what about painting vines and flowers on the walls? And how about stenciling the music room ceiling? Then it was time to have the outside of the house painted, a project that provided me with the opportunity to select colors that would bring out those wonderful exterior details. As you meander upstairs, don't miss my favorite stained-glass window.
And on the second floor, wander into the den, the first room on your left. Notice its triple-sash window, providing easy access to the sleeping porch. Then take the last flight of stairs to the 'Emerald Room,' where a surprise awaits you. Finally, as you return to the first floor, exiting through the back door off the kitchen you'll find yourself in the midst of my latest project, the Japanese garden."
